i stand by my statement, sly fox brewery has yet to let me down. i do love ipa's and this one is in my top ten ipa's for sure. i think i started off the video with a mouth fart because i was babbling and decided to start my shpeel over.
i am actually pretty excited about october because there will be some yummy seasonal beers and i will also be doing widget week soon. 7 days (maybe only 6, don't remeber if i have enough cans) of tasty beverages that all have widgets in them. this sly fox oktoberfest hit the spot while surrounded by pumpkins in the kroger parking lot.
i love scrabble and jurassic park just like everyone else who is smart but an amazing unfiltered wheat beer just brings it all together. sly fox hits the nail on the head once again!
when i say nipple height i mean it...we were both soaked and somehow were dressed exactly the same, which probably took some of the attention away from the fact that we didn't have real bracelets. the beer festival was pretty sweet and we spent a good two hours drinking as much as possible...my favorite was the "up the creek extreme ipa" which clocked in at an awesome 12.5%. having already been tipsy, drinking three of these put me over the edge. when we got back towards home i grabbed the phoenix pale ale which had been sitting in my room...it was horrible, but only because it was so warm. i've had it before when chilled properly and it is awesome so please get it to a reasonable temperature if you are gonna shotgun it.
some would say that it's a little gross that i splashed the remainder of my beer into the freshly made dinner before me and i might have to agree, i don't know what i was thinking there. so not classy. the food came out wonderfully though and the dunkel lager made a good pool for it.
todays beer is a light bodied german pilsner brought to us by sly fox brewery it is great for shotgunning in bed but i bet come summer time it would go perfectly with a bbq. it brings out a nice hearty yet tasty burp.
