i got to shotgun a beer live on bomb raidio. it was pretty sweet. i assure you i finished the beer but i tried my best to make sure there was not a single drop left in the can before i put it down because there were lots of records and electronics that i didn't want to see harmed in the slightest.
finished the hamm's in 5 seconds which i think is pretty good for sitting down. i love the train whistle in the backround. i can pretty much hear them all the time from my room. ahhh, what a wonderful city.
so i got interviewd by The ## and decided to shotgun my beer today in front of my ever growing wall of empty cans. if my math is correct, which it is about 95% of the time (or for you math nerds, 3/8ths of the time) it will take 16 shelves to house the entire project. i'm happily installing shelf 5 tomorrow.
anheuser busch has stepped up their game with this one. tilt has doubled it's alcohol content and even though it is still lacking the caffeine and the ginseng and the taurine and the phenylcyclohexylpiperidine at least now they have the tribal can art going on.
originally brewed less than two miles from my old house in brooklyn. the plant was shut down a good 9 years before i was born of course but still, kinda cool to know. next time i'm back in brooklyn i wanna go scope out the spot where it used to be.
my belly was full of pizza but there was still space to shotgun a beer in the game room at cici's. i've got a 24 pack of leinenkugel when i was on tour and had been slowly adding them to my daily beer diet because i like them and didn't want to run out...but now they are all gone. they have 3 more varieties in cans so if anyone can track them down i'd be happy to receive them.
this was the first time i'd ever had corona light...i don't really get it, isn't 'corona' light already? i should have planned better and actually had a lime on hand. oh well maybe next time.
thank you wisconsin for never letting me down...you either have beer that tastes wonderful or gets you drunk fast, or both. having just started an llc has made me notice stuff on labels and i am pschyed to say that classic ice is brought to us by drink beer llc!
some would say that it's a little gross that i splashed the remainder of my beer into the freshly made dinner before me and i might have to agree, i don't know what i was thinking there. so not classy. the food came out wonderfully though and the dunkel lager made a good pool for it.
not the easiest way to shotgun a joose but a very enjoyable and extreme way. the watermelon flavored energy drinks are starting to grow on me...maybe the changing weather makes them that much more refreshing.
it's really cheap and might be able to be used as a substitute for water. i definitely picked the right beverage for a springtime evening swing session.
this stuff is delicious! it's made in connecticut by new england brewing co. and doesn't seem to get any distribution in ny but somehow i picked up the atlantic amber and elm city lager at dual specialty store on 1st ave and 6th (below the indian restaurants) just before biking to the chinatown bus to come home. i kinda got lucky because i had never seen this stuff and there was only one dusty can of atlantic amber and a warm 6-pack of elm city lager. if anyone can find me a 6-pack of sea hag ipa i'll give them a back rub. if you are into mad libs you should do the 'tales from the tap' that they have on their website
i couldn't find the right time to do this, i wanted to it at a baptism in new jersey but it didn't work out, then at the reception where people were drinking beers anyways but again it didn't work out, then around a fire with tylers family but i just straight chickened out of that for some reason. it finally happened just before bed and at that point it had been carried around all day and was so warm and foamy that i thought i wasn't gonna keep it down. when i laid down in bed i could feel foam crawling up my throat so i had to sit back up for ten minutes letting it all settle before i could finally turn on my side and get my cuddles on.
100 days! you would think i would have had a giant shotgun party or something to celebrate but i have been playing life by ear lately and i happened to be in ny on day 100. and anyways 100 is no big deal, i could shotgun a hundred beers in a weekend. thanks to spencer to shotgunning with me in the back yard of abc no rio (after, not during the hc/punk matinee of course)
being that i lived in brooklyn for 7 years and now live in richmond, i had never seen hudy delight or rather maybe i had seen and consumed it in my travels but it never stuck out in my memory. i'm glad this made it back with me and would be forever grateful if someone could find and send me a can of 14-K
pretty sure this stuff is contract brewed for trader joes, so i guess thanks trader joes for making two more days of my 365 day goal possible. and thanks to leo for filming me up in the tree. it was definitely a simpler times sort of day that ended with grilling some shit up on the front porch while the rain came down around us.
who leaves a beer just sitting on the shelf at salvation army? i'm pretty sure even if someone stumbled upon me shotgunning that special export they wouldn't care or even realize what the fuck was going on.
this stuff is awesome and the can is really pretty. it says damngoodbeer.com all over it which is corny but ok by me except for the fact that the website is actually damngoodbeer.ca. stupid canadians, you lose all your points eh!
in an attempt to wind down from the events of the weekend i decided to shotgun some loko. i think this is my new favorite flavor, i think it will be consumed in excess by a lot of people all summer long. i also think that four should sponsor richmond's weekly wiffle ball games, you hear me four?
first thing me and mike did when we got to belle isle was shotgun some gold bull. it was a killer day that ended in a hot tub and a free hotel room. thanks to mike for guest gunning and thanks to the cutthroats for making slaughterama possible!
should have figured this can wouldn't make it through the day uncrushed.
this one goes out to all the straight edge kids and recovering alcoholics. this worked out because it was part of the scavenger hunt that day and i hadn't shotgunned anything on camera so i figured why not just make this it! no regrets!
slaughterama has begun and i'm sticking to 24oz and above for the rest of the weekend. thanks to bert no shirt for shotgunning beer like a fucking champ! i like his can crushing while drinking technique
