i had been holding the stack can off for awhile, i have to admit i was worried that i wouldn't be able to keep it down (ryan was confident from the get go, in fact he thoroughly enjoys a can of stack on the regular) in the end it wasn't a bad experience at all, in fact the stack gave me quite a boost for awhile and then i passed out on the couch and don't remember opening or stealing christmas gifts at all.

had the day off and it worked out because we got hit by some sort of tropical storm and it poured hard. the roof even leaked in a few places. we made the best of it and shotgunned beer and put together a hulk hogan puzzle. no regrets!





so many undistinguishable black pieces but it all worked out.

i'm beginning to feel like a 16oz can is the perfect amount to shotgun. 12oz cans go too fast and 24's can be just slightly taxing on the stomach. i've been putting off the 32oz cans for awhile but i think i'm almost ready to get back into that realm. give me another week or two.

this one almost made me puke...i just tried to do it gulp by gulp instead of just opening my throat and letting it flow. it happens, we've all been there. i think this just makes me xtra drunk when i consume it no matter what rate it's at.

i remember drinking this all the time in brooklyn when it was still offensive and named "crazy horse" and i remember the day me and gaylen went to the bodega and were blown away that it had changed overnight. it's probably been at least 4 years since that day and i haven't really dabbled in crazy stallions since then but after this shotgun i think i might have to search out some crazy cheap 40's once again. this shotgun was done in the alley behind the triple just before crooked teeth played

i was hoping for a little more water in the creek but i had fun and made do with what was there! it ended up being more like the lazy river. i think this summer will have plenty more tubeguns to come (yes that's right i made a new word "tubeguns", deal with it)

i thought this stuff was great, a wonderful skunky flavor and malty-goodness all the way to the bottom. did cause alot of foam to build up but i handle it the best i knew how...a big hearty burp. i found this in atlanta a couple months back...let me know if it comes in different sizes and where to find it.

ok, so i'm not the best at pairings but sometimes i'm right on. in this case, the clean crisp water pouring over my body was complimented magnificently by the bold corn-like taste of hurricane surging down my throat which was all brought together by the peppermint dr. bronners invading my senses. so, i guess technically it's not a pairing at all, more of a menage a trois really.

i hope you all enjoy the intro, i drunkenly busted out the camera in the dark and smoke filled basement this evening.
i really wish i had held onto one of the mickey's cans with a ufc fighter on it, then i could have poked a hole in his belly and sucked the mickey's right out of him...yeah, i totally just said that and i'm sticking with it. if you've got a couple minutes to kill, mickey's has a somewhat interactive website to mess around on.

when will they stop making all these alcoholic energy drinks? i hope never, and i dare someone to make one in a can bigger than 32oz, i'll finish it in under 30 seconds, seriously i dare all you energy drink companies out there that are totally paying attention to me to make a 40 in a can and send it to me. who knows, you could change the world.
this delightful orange flavored drink is brought to us by the people at core who also are the cause of my quest to find something bigger than their "el jefe" can. for an orange alcoholic drink at 10% i actually really enjoyed this and would compare it to orange soda. i seem to prefer shotgunning energy drinks or sharing them with friends because when i drink a can any other way i end up nursing it and they seem to get flatter and warmer than most other drinks.

we used to be able to find 16oz cans of this for 50 cents but those days are gone and i tried to at least find a can with the old design but they've been gone for about two years so i gave up and just went ahead and shotgunned this. thanks to ricky and ryan for guestgunning this with me! ricky is a monster when it comes to shotgunning and even opened his can with his thumb (more on this technique when i've mastered it)
